REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
LEGAL SERVICES FOR Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Central & Arctic) Inc.
1.     Introduction
Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Central & Arctic) Inc. ("the Company") is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive financing policy services. The purpose of this RFP is to identify a partner business firm with the expertise, experience, and resources to support our organization's ongoing legal needs, including corporate, compliance, labor, intellectual property, litigation, and advisory matters.
The selected firm will serve as a trusted legal advisor to Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Central & Arctic) Inc., ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks and supporting strategic business decisions.
2.     Scope of Services
The law firm will be expected to provide services including, but not limited to:
• Corporate & Commercial Law: Contract drafting/review, corporate governance, M&A support.
• Employment & Labor Law: Compliance with employment laws, employee relations, dispute resolution.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Guidance on industry-specific regulations, risk assessments.
• Intellectual Property: Trademark registration, IP protection, enforcement.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Representation in legal proceedings, arbitration, mediation.
• General Legal Counsel: Day-to-day advisory support, risk management, and strategic legal planning.
3.     Proposal Requirements
All proposals must include the following:
1. Firm Overview – Background, size, and areas of specialization.
2. Relevant Experience – Experience with clients in similar industries.
3. Key Personnel – Profiles of attorneys who will serve Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Central & Arctic) Inc..
4. Approach & Methodology – How your firm will address Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Central & Arctic) Inc.'s legal needs.
5. References – At least three client references.
6. Fee Structure – Hourly rates, retainer options, or alternative fee arrangements.
7. Conflict of Interest Disclosure – Confirmation of absence of conflicts or disclosure if any exist.
4.     Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following factors:
• Demonstrated expertise and track record in relevant practice areas.
• Depth and experience of assigned legal team.
• Responsiveness and proposed service approach.
• Cost-effectiveness and transparency of fee structure.
• References and past performance.
5.     Submission Instructions

6.     Terms & Conditions
• Paxlaw reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
• This RFP does not obligate Paxlaw to award a contract or pay any costs incurred in the preparation of proposals.
• Paxlaw may request additional information or presentations during the evaluation process.
